He spent 32 years of his life working in someone else’s retail store. In all those years, he saw every part of the retail business up close. Where to source products, when demand changes, how to build relationships with customers, he learned all of it.
From opening the shop every morning to settling the accounts at night, he handled the full responsibility for years. But the dream of having a shop of his own never left him.
With years of small savings and long experience, he finally started his own shop. Every corner of it reflected years of hard work, patience and careful saving.
Sourcing was always his biggest worry

During his years working at the grocery store, sourcing products troubled him the most. Going around different markets to buy at wholesale prices, checking rates, then bringing everything back to the shop by van or truck, the whole process took up time and effort.
Rain or shine, he had to go out whenever something was needed. Sometimes he had to visit two or three markets just for one product. Sometimes he couldn’t find a good price, and other times he had no choice but to pay more. It wasn’t just the time that added up, it wore him out physically too.
So when he started his own shop, this was the thing that worried him most. Running a shop single-handedly while still having to chase the market every day for supplies, that thought stayed with him constantly.
Then he discovered PriyoShop

Not long after starting his shop, he learned about PriyoShop through someone he knew. At first, he wasn’t sure he could trust it. Could ordering from a phone, without going to the market himself, really get products delivered to his shop?
Out of curiosity, he placed his first order one day with a small amount of transactions. When the products arrived at his shop right on time, that was the moment he realized it could actually work.
Now he can order most of what his shop needs from one place. The time that used to go into collecting products, he can now spend in the shop itself.
In his words, “Before, a big part of my day went into restocking from the wholesale markets. Now I just order from my phone and stay at the shop doing my regular business without worry.
I can manage the store better and give my full attention to customers.”
His days look different now
The time he used to spend going from market to market, he now spends organizing his shop better and profitably. When something runs out, he orders it right away. There’s no need to make a separate trip to the market anymore.
With this extra time, he now talks more with his customers, tries to understand what they need, and thinks about how to arrange products in the shop so customers find things more easily. He’s also getting the chance to make the shop look better.
As the days passed, running the shop became much easier. With the pressure of sourcing products gone, he now has time to think about other parts of the business. Which products are in demand, when customers come in the most, what new items he could bring in, he now has room to plan for these things.
He’s also getting a little more time with his family than before. A large part of his day no longer goes into running around the market.
Dreams for the days ahead

The shop is still small, but his dreams are big. He wants to gradually add more products, like adding Grameenphone’s and Banglalink’s digital products.
If things go well, he’s also thinking about expanding the shop down the line.
The man who spent 32 years working in someone else’s shop is now the owner of his own. He runs his business by his own decisions, moving forward under his own name.
Years of experience showed him the way and PriyoShop made that path easier. What was once his biggest worry has now become one of the easiest parts of running his shop.
For 32 years, he helped build other people’s businesses. Today, he continues building the business he once dreamed of. His experience gives him the confidence to move forward and PriyoShop makes it easier to keep his shop running.
